They were the least expensive option listed (normally a red flag for me), but with hundreds of 5 star reviews on Uhaul’s website I felt it would be dumb to go with a more expensive option. Plus, having just bought a house, money is tight. I wasn’t sure what to expect since, in my mind, I was just hiring two guys to carry heavy things for a very good deal. Would they need hand holding? Would it be up to me to make the Tetris packing puzzle work? Nope, they were professionals.The two guys showed up early and got to work. I walked them through the 3-bedroom house and 1.5 hours later the truck was filled to the brim without any input or management me. It was so hot and they worked very hard. Since we rented a Uhaul and only hired them for labor, they closed up the truck and said, “We’ll meet you at the second address.” They were there waiting and helped us navigate backing up the truck into the driveway. Unloading took less time. They made our move short and painless and were very easy to work with. There was a ero damage to our furniture (we did wrap it in cellophane prior to their arrival and I think that helps, but I never saw them bang into anything).Don’t forget to get some cash out ahead of time. I wasn’t really thinking about needing to tip as I was so consumed with packing, etc. but once I saw these guys in action I ran down to the ATM.
